I have talked about Louvolite blinds in these blogs before, particularly their Home Hub. This is the system that connects to your Wi Fi
and lets you use an app to operate up to 15 blinds remotely.
You can use the Home Hub directly with the remote control supplied, with voice control via Amazon’s Alexa, Dot and Echo or Google Home or via an app on your smartphone or tablet. It allows you to view your rooms and control your blinds from there individually or collectively, with the obvious privacy and security advantages of letting you operate your blinds when you are at work or away from home on holiday or business.
However, it does need to be set up properly and people who are less tech savvy than others may struggle with this. That’s one of the reasons why Louvolite have launched their own YouTube channel.
There is now a straightforward video available showing you how to install the app and handle the settings with the various devices.
